Part-time Credit Controller required – Cork Office

An exciting opportunity has arisen for  a Part-Time Credit Controller to join our Cork Team servicing the Munster Region

KCC is a very well established and successful growing Irish company in the Specification, Supply and Installation of Architectural Products to the Construction industry.

The company is a leading solutions provider to design professionals and major contractors. A sound knowledge and understanding of the Construction sector in Ireland will be a significant enabler for success in this role. Key to success is being proactive in maintaining relationships with Accounts Payable and Contracts staff in client companies to maintain a (historically) clean aged debtors book.

 

Job specification

Job Title: Credit Controller – Cork Branch

Reports to: Associate Director Munster Region & Cork Branch

Functional reporting to:  Group Credit Control and Financial Director

Works with: Munster Sales team and Cork Office Manager plus colleagues in Group Credit Control

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collection of active and overdue accounts
  • Ledger housekeeping and chasing of overdue accounts
  • Credit note processing
  • Resolution of customer account queries
  • Customer account reconciliations
  • Printing and preparation of your monthly ledger for collection targets
  • Preparation of daily banking sheets and preparation of daily lodgement
  • Posting and allocation of payments
  • Filing and Ad hoc duties

 

Experience:

  • Credit Controller (Construction collection background desirable)
  • Sage 1000 (desirable), Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Capability of working in and achieving desired results in a target driven environment
  • Trading company experience with reasonably diverse product/service portfolio

Terms:

  • This is a part time role comprising 20 hours per week
  • Ideally hours will be worked 9.00 to 13.00 5 days per week
  • However, we will be willing to discuss alternative daily arrangements to suit an ideal candidate, but she/he will need to be on site at least 4 days per week to be effective
